Lee Grosz Puts on Strong Showing at the AGCO Jackson Nationals! By Mike Spieker | SpiekerPromotions@gmail.com JACKSON, MN (September 7, 2016) - Last weekend the Hi-10 Sports Center/J&J Auto Racing team hit the road en route to Jackson, MN for another prestigious 360 Sprint Car event; the $10,000 AGCO Jackson Nationals, featuring the ASCS National Tour. Lee rolled in riding a wave of momentum after coming off a second place finish and a win the previous weekend. His hot streak continued with another stellar run during his preliminary night on Friday. “We were eighth in points after the heat races and the redraw gave us the six pill,” said Lee. “We ran sixth in the feature for a while, but got up to fourth about 10 laps in. The driver made a few mistakes and when you’re running against them guys you can’t make many mistakes. We ended up falling back to sixth and finishing sixth, but all in all it was a good night. We ran up front with some pretty tough competition and we were pretty happy with how things went.” Another round of heat races on Sunday night determined the starting field for the main events via passing points. “On Sunday I think we actually drew too good,” continued Lee. “We drew the pole for our heat race and on the initial start they called me for jumping, which ended up putting me back a row. I ended up finishing second which didn’t give us enough points to put us into the feature so that put me on the pole of the B-main." Lee didn’t get the start he was looking for when the green flag flew and was shuffled back to the third position, but still picked up a transfer spot to move on to the A. The Harwood, ND driver lined up 22nd on the Jackson Nationals main event starting grid, but didn’t stay back there for long. “We started 22nd and made our up to 13th. The car was good, but the track was a little on the heavier side that night. When you’re racing against that tough of competition, it’s hard to make your way to the front so I guess 22nd to 13th isn’t too bad of a run.” Up next for Lee will be a pair of UMSS Winged Sprint Car shows, beginning with Princeton (MN) Speedway on Friday and Cedar Lake Speedway on Saturday. Lee has won his last three consecutive UMSS starts, including back-to-back wins at Cedar Lake in July. Season Stats: Races: 22 Wins: 4 Top Fives: 12 Top Tens: 15
